Bonus Ride (6/20/2026): Palm Coast to Lake City, FL

 I rode to visit my aunt and some cousins in Lake City. It was a long ride (about 122 miles) but I got an early start and the weather was not as hot as usual. Tomorrow is a rest day and on Monday I’ll ride to Jacksonville airport to pick up the rental car I’ll be using to drive back to Texas.  Here are some pictures:

This was a nice bike trail that got me off of Highway 100 for awhile:

This was a sign on the bicycle trail . It means that vehicles with motors to make them go (like cars and trucks) aren’t allowed on the trail, but bicycles and people walking/running can be there:

This is a little swamp near Lake City. Look at the trees growing in the water!
